Hey everyone,

I just made a quick tweak to the server software, which should bring costs down. You can test out the new version by switching your host to android2cloud-dev.appspot.com in Chrome and Android. If there are no issues, I'll roll this release out to the production server on the 21st.

The only place bugs should arise is when you first open Chrome, and when Chrome has been open for more than two consecutive hours. Testing these conditions heavily would be much appreciated.

Please, let me know if you find any issues. Thank you for all your hard work testing this.

Thanks,
Paddy Foran

Hi Paddy,

I changed Chrome and Android to the dev host. After installing Chrome a lot of past urls opened on my desktop. Non others have opened since. I installed Android app with dev host and DesktopChrome as Device. Using Silent Sending I then sent a url via xscope browser from my thunderbolt and it did not send. Going back to android app, device name showed only Chrome so I put DesktopChrome back as device but as soon as I leave the app it reverts back to just Chrome. So at the moment I have turned off silent sending. Manual sending is working fine. I'm awfully tired hope this makes sense.

Mark,

Thanks for the information. With silent sending, it sends to the last device you sent to. If you haven't sent a link, it defaults to Chrome. I'll look into preserving what is entered without sending-- thanks for the feedback!

As for links opening, that's probably links that weren't marked as read on the dev server. It shouldn't be a problem in production.

Thanks for your hard work in testing this.

Thanks,
Paddy
