Channel API Beta imminent

Hey everyone,

First of all, thanks again for being beta testers. You guys rock.
Really.

Second, if you haven't, please do take the time to fill out the quick

information for me to have.

Third, I've spoken with the Channel API people, and it doesn't look
like a fix for my two hour problem is forthcoming any time soon. So
I'll be building an ugly hack for it, fixing a couple of things, and
sending out a beta build for you guys to play around with. :) One
thing I'd really like to do is try to synchronise a "heavy-usage" time
frame-- pick a day, choose a time, and get everyone who can to try and
submit as many links as possible during that time frame, to see how
the server holds up and what kind of damage it does to the quotas.

I've set up http://code.google.com/p/android2cloud-beta, mainly so I
can keep the repositories and documentation separate. I've got the
current incarnation of the betas in there in the source code-- if
you're especially daring, you can try to check them out, build the
Chrome Extension and Android app, and go at it, but I don't recommend
it yet. These are very much still proofs of concept, and some work
needs to be done before any of it is "user friendly", even by my low
standards.

I hope to have this stuff done in the next week or two, especially
considering version 0.3.1 just launched, so the production people are
happy for a little while. Sorry for the delays on this!
