Hi guys,
First of all, I'm terrible at staying on hiatus. I'm so deficient.
Anyways, just a quick update. As of January 12th, android2cloud is six months old. I wrote a blog post about it, here:
http://goo.gl/cCwvl If you're interested in the statistics behind the project (they blow my mind) or want to know where it's headed, feel free to check it out. For the tl;dr crowd, I'll sum it up: the next six months are focused on community. I want to shore up the documentation, reliability, and the structure of what we have before I start adding more features or platforms to the mix. You'll see some of those too, don't worry, but the focus is going to be on turning this into a big boy Open Source project.
I just wanted to take a moment and thank all of you. As
frustrating as the minority can be, the majority of you are the cream of the crop for users, as far as I'm concerned. And the people who spend hours of their time to help me beta test and bug hunt on this project are nothing short of saints. Thank you, all of you.
I'm a student, trying to get his degree, work a few jobs, and maintain an Open Source software on the side of a scale that I have zero experience with. I'm learning as I go, getting more organised (I hope) and better (I hope) every week. I know we've had a long six months, and thank you all for sticking with me through it all. You rock. I'm going to try to make the next six months less painful for everyone involved, but I'm going to make mistakes. Lots of them. And I apologise in advance. I encourage any of you (or all of you) to point out my mistakes to me when I make them and to suggest courses for correction or prevention of repetition in the future. Together, we'll make this work.
Thanks everyone.
