Hello All!

A quick blurb about myself...

I grew up in a small Korean church in the suburbs of Chicago. I
attended church faithfully with my mom and sister throughout my grade
school and junior high years. As a freshman in high school, I was
asked by the youth leadership if I'd be interested in playing drums.
After a few weeks, I agreed. A few weeks after that, I accepted Christ
as my personal savior. Yes, I got it backwards, but I'll explain some
other time how that happened.

After 2 years of drumming, out of necessity, the leadership coersed me
to learn how to play guitar. When I was in junior high, I vowed never
to play guitar...but now I do. Then they told me I had to sing too.
How am I supposed to play guitar and sing at the same time? Within a
few months, I was leading worship the summer before my junior year in
high school. LIttle did I know where this would lead me.

I have been leading worship for about 12 years. I just turned 28. I
don't think it was fair to ask a 16 year old to lead worship for the
church, but they did...and I'm thankful to this day. I've served in
various capacities...led worship for UIC (United in Christ) all-campus
worships, participated in Indian revival meetings, and led various
retreats & conferences for youth, college, and young adults.

I work full-time at Midas (the car repair people; not a grease monkey,
but work in finance). I attend Moody Bible Institute part-time. I've
been married to my wife, Linda, for 2.5 years and our first child is on
the way! Woo hoo! I serve as the part-time college/worship pastor at
Hebron Community Church. However, my roles in the church and at home
will be refined and defined in the coming months.

My passion and heart is in worship. But outside of that, I have to
determine how that passion and heart will be used in the local and
global church. I hope that the possibility of a 2nd Gen Conference
will become a reality. Perhaps, a forum like this will allow me to
make some tough decisions about my calling that I may not have been
able to make before! I look forward to seeing how God will grow this
ministry as we partner together!

Take care and God bless!

For His Cause, Frank
