29th SJG Huan Adventure Ship Outing, Sunday, 8th June 2014 (Final Reminder)

Dear Cubs & Parents

1) There is no Cub meeting this Saturday

2) There is a Silver Jubilee District Fun Day at Renaissance College, Ma On Shan on Saturday 7th June.  Because our pack's focus on the Adventure Ship we will not be attending as a pack, but individual Cubs may participate.  Please see Stephen Wat's 2-Jun-14 posting for complete details.

3) Final Reminder on 29th SJG Huan Adventure Ship Outing

WHERE and WHEN to meet: 9:00 AM - Jumbo Pier at Shum Wan Pier Drive, Aberdeen*
WHERE and WHEN to end: 4:30 PM - Jumbo Pier at Shum Wan Pier Drive, Aberdeen*

*We have arranged for a bus to pick us up from Pier 3 (at 8:15 AM) to Wong Chuk Hang Jumbo Pier return back (at 4:30 PM) to Pier 3.  If you have not already committed, the fee is $100 per person which you can pay on the day.

WHAT TO WEAR: Orange outing T-shirt, neck scarf, blue SJD Cap, sports shoes

WHAT TO BRING ALONG:

Please remember to bring a copy or the original of your Hong Kong ID or Passport.  The Huan Adventure Ship will be confirming identities before people board. 

· Swimming costumes
· Big towel
· Sun screen
· Hat
· Sandals or rubber shoes
· Change of clothing (T-shirt & shorts)
· Waterproof jacket
· Lunch & snacks
· Water bottle (drinking water available on board)
· Clean handkerchief
· Octopus with stored value not less than $20
- Copy or original of Hong Kong ID or passport
- Completed Swim Test Booklet (Didrika, I have all the others)

WHAT NOT TO BRING:
· Valuables
· Shower lotion / shampoo
· Mobile phones
· Audio equipments

INSURANCE
If a yellow rainstorm or thunderstorm warning is hoisted, the activity will still proceed since Huan will still go out to sea. Under this scenario, there will be no refund if participants opt out since the Adventure Ship Ltd will not refund us. In order not to pay the money and gain nothing back, the activity can continue as a private function but not a Scout activity. While SAHK insurance will not cover the event when it proceeds as a private function, the participants will still be covered by the 3rd party liability insurance of the Adventure Ship Ltd required under the Laws of Hong Kong. The cancellation details are in the attachment.

I look forward to see you at this event as I believe it will be one of the highlights of the year.

Just a quick reminder, please take the 7:20 AM ferry from DB to Pier 3 tomorrow (there is no 7:30 ferry on Sundays).  This is the last ferry that will arrive before our bus departs Pier 3 at 8:15 AM.
