Silver Jubilee District Fun Day at Renaissance College, Ma On Shan on 7 June

Dear parents,

SJD Fun Day - Saturday 7 June, Renaissance College, Ma On Shan – 11am to 4pm

 

Just like we did two years ago, we are organising a District Fun Day, which will once again be held at Renaissance College, Ma On Shan.  The concept will be very much like last time, with a series of giant inflatable games and activities organised, not strictly of a Scouting nature, but more like a fun fair or carnival.

 

Although the Fun Day will run from 11am to 4pm participants can drop in any time, and stay for as little or as long as they want. And very specifically, youth members do not have to come as a Troop, but can come as individuals, as groups of individuals, or as family groups.

 

Tickets on the day will cost HK$ 100, which includes

·         a simple BBQ lunch

·         access to all the games

·         a specially designed SJD Woggle.

 

The BBQ is being provided by an outside caterer, to save us having to do it. The actual event will cost significantly more than this with the balance being covered by District funds.

If you are interested to go to the Fun Day, you need to let me know how many from your family are going so that we allow your share of the BBQ lunch. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Dear cubs and parents,

Further to my email to you on 2 June 2014, Akela has also written about the SJD Fun Day yesterday. Cubs and family are most welcomed to take part in this event tomorrow.

If you are going there by the MTR, the appended pictures will give you info about the time to allowed for the journey and the fare. Take Exit A at Heng On Station and it will lead you directly to the Renaissance College where the Fun Day will be held. 

The full address of the college is 5 Hang Ming Street,Ma On Shan, New Territories.

If you are uniformed, you should wear your orange outing T-shirt.

I shall be helping at the event so see you there tomorrow.
