Hey Everyone,
This list will NOT be used for logistical reasons. It is here for legal and event announcements only. However, because there has been a lot of confusion about creating the email address and listserv, reviewing the working statement, etc. We thought now would be a good time, while fewer people are on the list, to clear a few things up.
1. Some confusion led to two Announcement Groups being created so you may have received to invites by now. This is the one we will use. The first one that was created will be deleted. Let us know if you would like to be a 'manager' in this group so you can post to it. If you are not a manager you are a member and have the ability to add other members so you can make sure your grandma knows what goin on. The reason roles of 'member' and 'manager' must be created is to make sure only the most important and PUBLIC event announcements and legal updates are released to A LOT of people. If people feel like a listserve is needed for logistical communication, take it upon yourselves to make one.
2. There will NOT be a press event this Friday.
3. Tomorrow, Wednesday April14th, 5PM at Vics, the State Street 29 Defense Committee will have it's first meeting. Here we can discuss future events, sub-committee formation, fund-raising and resource evaluation. This is a great place for those who were not arrested to come, exercise some serious mutual aid and help relieve the arrestees of the burden of these tasks. So tell yer friends! Anyone who is interested in getting this campaign poppin off can come to this meeting or email us: statestreet29d...@gmail.com. In addition, if you are someone who was arrested and would like to view the statement before it is released, please try to be at Vics around 4:30PM so we can wrap things up relatively early. Any questions or concerns? Shoot an email!
4. If you have a website, blog or anything of that nature and would like to include our paypal button, "add your email to the announcement list" box, or the "view our googlegroup" button to your site, send a request to the email.
