We are ALWAYS against terror, WHEREVER such murderous actions are perpetrated.

Terrorism, by WHOMSOEVER it is practiced, cannot be justified. Never.
Unfortunately, making our voice heard is just a small thing, especially when too many governments, worldwide, behave in contempt of the most basic moral laws. Yet, we cannot fail to give our modest contribution, even the smallest, to try to improve the world, because silence or indifference would make us not only cowards, but accomplices.

Few days back there was a terror attack in Kashmir’s pulwama region on Indian soldiers. Fourty soldiers died in that cowardice attack. We have many Indians is our organization including myself. Just wanted to ask you and Udaya to write something on our webpage to show that our thoughts and prayers are with them and we are united against terror anywhere and everywhere.

Dear Savita, Doctor & All,

Terrorism, by whatever name, in whatever context needs to be condemned, and violence in any form, eschewed. But, Doctor, in our land of Mahatma Gandhi, do we practice non-violence and tolerance as he had professed? The answer is NO!. 

As the dream-child of the Great Soul, a nation using his name as the “Father of the Nation”, we have failed him. To add insult to the inj, we now have an administration who promote intolerance and sectarianism based on religion. We, as a nation has failed GANDHIJI in all his ideologies.

Now, the administration is gathering evidence against the neighbouring country (of course there will be many, because the terrorism in the region originate from their soil) to do unto them, “what they deserve”. Instead of the rhetoric, why don’t we, as the nation with The Mahatma as its father, keep our cool and strengthen our intelligence to avoid such incidents in future? At the cost of being branded “unpatrioic”, I will advocate spending more money and energy on strengthening vigil on the borders using latest technology, or as Trump is trying to do, build a wall across the border.

As the Mahatma has said repeatedly, violence for whatever reasons, will create more violence. Let all nations eschew violence.

And, of course, let there be peace.

An act of terror wherever it happens is highly condemnable but pointing fingers without solid evidence is equally deplorable. When a country’s media creates war hysteria and calls for the destruction of neighboring country, it’s not a sane response to a critical situation. Proxy wars should end from all sides. We have had too many incidents of terror in which a foreign hand was a strong probability but raising hell without hard proofs is just like crying wolf. Let’s make our own governments accountable rather than buy the false narrative politicians feed to public for face saving. And of course let’s put our own house in order first. Let’s discuss matters on the table. Let’s not believe we are always right and others are always wrong. It takes two to make a quarrel. Let’s not give into jingoistic nationalism. Let’s question our own institutions too. In a proxy war, it’s never just one country that is at fault. Let’s not think we are angels and others are demons. Let’s avoid wars because they make only innocent suffer and die, never the politicians who use war rhetoric for vested interests.
