Here is my submission for the project "Abstract Life Abstract Love".
-The poem is unpublished.
Desired Love
seated in a balcony chair facing a grove veiling edifices,
an attempt to write one’s desired love,
“a love that stands the fire inside,
a love that embraces enough to melt the ice-cold heart,
a love that cares and evolves together into one”
-is ruined by a flock of birds!
a flock of birds in a bare tree looks amazing,
illudes one to see it evergreen though it’s shedding
but the dreamy eyes, elated hopes are left muddled
with murmuration of birds flying off the tree unruffled
like some fleeting memories...
where did the moment go?
in vain?
when spring comes, the ardor shared by leaves
adorns the tree for real, one nearly believes
but the growing, blooming and fruiting spree
stops as fall hits and the leaves leave it lonely
like some unsettled memories...
what is yours?
nothing.
“go with the flow”, the tree sings and dances in glee!
