The NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY) is committed to supporting containerization efforts across the city, specifically to ensure that you receive proper service and assistance with your Empire Bins. If you are having any trouble with your Empire Bin, submit a Service Request directly to DSNY through our website.

Through our webform, you can submit service requests for multiple issues:

• Lost Access Card
• Access Card Not Working
• Lid Does Not Open/Close
• Foot Pedal Broken
• Handle Lever Broken
• Container Will Not Lock
• Container Damaged
• Graffiti on Container
• Container Size Not Sufficient (Overfill)
• Container Blocking Street
• Container Access Blocked (Vehicle)
• Container Access Blocked (Construction)
• Container Lifting Pin is Cracked or Bent
• Pedestrian Post Damaged/Missing
• Sticker Found on Container
• Tree Branch Interference/Obstruction

 

Through the webform, you will need to submit the empire bin ID number and provide specific details about your issue. We recommend attaching pictures and being as descriptive as possible.
