Hey guys -

Maybe two years ago we had one giant super gross roach in our master bedroom closet. He just stood there in a show down with me and my daughter - of course we were screaming. Gross giant mexican sized roach. We had Orkid come out to spay and set traps. Nothing since. He said a lot of times when people move they use liquor store or grocery store boxes which are breeding grounds for roaches. The giant roach was not really native to Colorado and we had no boxes so how did he get there? I know how he left! Bug man also said if you have problems in apartment/townhouse settings when you spray just one apt. they just run away to another then come right back when the coast is clear. So, it may be best if we all chip in and do a one time spray.

Because we are not there and keep no food or trash in the place there is not much attraction. Orkid man said our one roach was a lost soul - especially since he was in Master Closet. He sprayed heavily around the drains near the mechanical room. He also wanted to set up a costly regular service of course but under his breath said corp. made him sell us and he really felt our one bug was a one tmie thing. Like I said, never seen one again.

There is the history of a bug at 1250. We are still working toward replacing some damaged drywall and removing some cabinets. I will let you know if we find anything to indicate bugs.

Haha Jen! I can envision this entire Amazonian bug episode so clearly. What a great story. Made my night. If no one is having major signs then this could be a one off with the cold weather and not a major issue. I was starting to fear that we had an infestation after the first company said they wouldn’t take the job. They quoted $500 per unit to eradicate all roaches and be able to warranty the work for 90 days. Seems heavy for a grand total of 4-5 roaches in 3 years so I’ll start with just an Orkin man visit and see if they will take the job! I sincerely appreciate the quick dialogue and exploration today!!! If you all are seeing an increase in bugs of any kind please let us know and we can revisit!
