when my bike was stolen

to 26th and King neighborhood watch
my bike was stolen from our unlocked side yard several months ago and
my husband drove around the neighborhood only to find it on 28th
street just about 1-1/2 blocks away. a couple of kids were busy in
their FRONT yard taking my bike apart. police were called and they met
my husband to pick up the bike. unfortunately, even though we knew the
bike was stolen, no arrests were made since there was no way to prove
that those kids stole the bike. also they were juveniles. we put a
lock on our gate and so far, knock on wood, nothing suspicious as of
yet. we always arm our alarm and our dog does a pretty good job of
putting up a good defense.
