Well it was so nice to see Jim, Sara and Kristen at Grassland this morning.  How nice it was to chat for a little bit.

In the interest of getting together again how about we try to plan a dinner together for some Friday evening.  I am throwing out two dates......Friday February 5th or February 12th.  It would be nice to get the 26.Crazy group together again!  I was thinking of dinner at The Tin Angel on West End.  I ate there last night and they have a back room where they could put a bunch of tables together.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

Rosemary

P. S.  Kristen and Sara could you please send me Donald and John's email addresses.  Michael wants to email them.  Thanks.

Hey Rosemary,

That sounds great to me!  As of right now, we don't have any definite plans for either date.  I can't confirm if Tony would come or just me (depending on finding someone to watch the kids for us).  It would be great to see everyone again - seems like it's been forever!!

Both dates look clear to me right now.. but the 12th is awfully close to my birthday so is likely to run into family conflict since my family is local.

I think either day would work for us, the 5th being better than the 12th.  That would be great to see everyone.  Kathy- I had no idea you had an etsy site!  Look at you Miss. Crafty!  I love the teal knit earrings!

Rosemary,

both nights should work for us.
I was wondering if we could go to a different restaurant?  I'm just not a fan of Tin Angel, plus for Jim and I and maybe some others, we work downtown, so having to leave work, rush home and come back downtown, it might be a little hard???
I didn't know if Joelle and Heather would mind coming out to the Cool Springs area?  I figured it might be a little easier on Sara, Erin and Kathy as well? Just a suggestion.
Thanks.

~Kristen

Is there anything good that isn't a chain?  I think there are some these days...  I don't mind the area... just don't like chains much.

Okay not a problem for me.  Kristen would you mind picking the restaurant?  I really have no preference and will eat anywhere.  The whole focus is just for all of us to get together.  We haven't seen each other since......forever!!

Why don't we say it is Friday, February 5th since it seems okay for everyone who has responded already and since Joelle has possible plans for February 12th.

Does this work for everyone?  Anyone else have suggestions on a restaurant?

I don't know if everyone likes mexican or not, but there is the new Mexican resturant in cool springs called Chuy's.
it's really good.  Just a thought, but I'm open to whatever :)

p.s. I have been to Chuy’s and it is GREAT and affordable!!!

I was going to suggest Chuy's- I've heard it gets really crowded, so hopefully they take reservations, but I know they can accomadate groups.

I'll call to see if they accept reservations.  If they do not for a large group I would suggest we do not go there.  I have heard it is crowded and the wait is quite long.  I'll let everyone know sometime today after I call.

Fridays at 7 is prime-time and everywhere in Cool Springs is an hour or 2-hour wait

Definitely.  Every time I've been to Chuy's, it is always a 2 hour wait.  I've even got there at 5pm and it was still an hour wait!!  If they take reservations, that would be perfect.

I called Chuy's and they do NOT take reservations of any kind.....not even for a large party.

But I just thought of something........

J. Alexander's in Cool Springs has a room which they book for private parties.  There is no charge for the room but they do add 20% gratuity.  I called and unfortunately the room is not available until Friday February 19th but it is available on a Sunday afternoon.

What do you think?  Do you want to do dinner on a Sunday afternoon or book the room for February 19th or let's just leave it for next Friday the 5th and try to find a place that takes reservations?

I could do Sunday afternoons too.  J. Alexander's is fine with me.  I'll go with group consensus.  I'm not picky...as long as it isn't a place like Trattoria No. 10 in Chicago. :)

I would really love it if we can do it on a day that Sara can do it, because we all haven't seen one another for so long it would be nice to have the entire group there- and if we did a Sunday afternoon we could go to Chuy's or the Bonefish or where-ever and we won't have a problem getting seated-

There's a place called Mineo's that's great for pizza, beer, wings. I would vote for something that was not that expensive.

We're all budgeting etc.

I agree about Sara......so that leaves us with two options:  Try for a Sunday afternoon or reschedule to Friday February 19th.

I would say Bonefish may be on the expensive side but they do take reservations and generally are not crowded on a Sunday afternoon.  Chuy's is not expensive - but will not accept any reservations.  I opt for J. Alexander's because of the private room and there not being a charge for it except the 20% gratuity.  I think we all may be familiar with their menu - salads, burgers, chicken, etc.  But I like Bonefish as well.  I'll go with the consensus of the group.

So Sara what does your schedule look like?

Rosemary

I am up for either a Sunday or Friday the 19th. Thanks for trying so hard to include me, guys :))))))

Just let me know. Mineo's is delicious, but I'll go anywhere.
