Hello local user groups,

On May 11th Web608 is hold our first meeting and we hope you will join us. We will be holding monthly meetings and monthly Geek Dinner as we work to build Madison's web community. Web608 is oriented around web technology and because the web is so broad we will strive to have as diverse a collection of topics as possible. Topics for May 11th 7pm:
Christian Wilcox will be a demonstrate Google's recently released App Engine. While currently only supporting Python, App Engine is a free fully integrated application environment built on Google robust distributed infrastructure. We may even see Django in action.

Jonathan Yankovich will show us how to keep from getting bogged down with paperwork with an intro to Getting Things Done (GTD) and project management techniques.

Andrew Shell recently attended Startup School in San Francisco. He will give us a recount of the event before we discuss Startup Weekend Madison.

We will also cover the current state of BarCampMadison2 and the possibility of starting a coworking location in Madison.
