I have set up Kazoo in Amazon's EC2 cloud.

I am using my own carrier which is actually an Asterisk server at a co-location facility.

The problem I am running in to is the call has no audio. I have tried to adapt instructions found @ http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Amazon_ec2 to Kazoo by modifying /etc/kazoo/freeswitch/freeswitch.xml, /etc/kazoo/freeswitch/sip_profiles/sipinterface_1.xml and /etc/kazoo/freeswitch/autoload_configs/switch.conf.xml to no avail.

I am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to properly configure Kazoo/FreeSWITCH for the Amazon cloud?

Thanks

What is the output of

“sofia status profile sipinterface_1”

in FreeSWITCH CLI?

Ext-RTP-IP              xxx.xxx.179.141  <— This is the line that matters. That needs to be your external IP from Amazon. Is it? You are sure it is accurate?

If yes, I think you need to check on the Asterisk side, there should be no other issue…

Yes, this is a perplexing problem. I know that the IP is accurate, I have even gone so far as to turn off the firewall on the asterisk side and allowed everything on the amazon side to rule out firewall issues.

I will continue to fight with it and reply back if I find the solution.

Thanks

Did you ever arrive at a solution to this?
