kamailio module db_kazoo.so

Hi,

I tried using kamailio and found in https://github.com/2600hz/kazoo_configs, that in kamailio the module db_kazoo.so is being loaded. But where do I find this module?

I'd like to use the db_kazoo.so module as well. It appears to be a database adapter for kamailio that hits an API. that is awesome.

Hi Clint,

I think it’s not quite that simple - it connects DB Kazoo to AMQP, which we then use in our Kazoo software to give you APIs…

Wow! I just got a response from Darren Schreiber in 2 minutes. Thanks Darren! Also, I now see how you build that kamailio mod, via patch file here: https://github.com/2600hz/kamailio-qa/blob/master/reg_only/kamailio_patches/db_kazoo.patch

Very cool stuff. That means you not only get an API based db for kamailio, it means you have added an event layer to it for real time updates to external apps. That is impressive.

You deleted the repo with the kamailio amqp mod? Are you guys not using it anymore?

The patch was becoming difficult to manage once there was more than one engineer working on it so we forked kamailio and applied our patch.  The intent is still to push it upstream once we clean out some of the changes we currently need in other modules (as well as maybe make it more generic). 

 

It is available in completion at https://github.com/2600hz/kazoo-kamailio.  To keep people from finding it and not knowing it’s a modified kamailio we keep all the code on branches.
