Media and TTS issues

Hi Kazoo Team,

We have setup Kazoo manually. Internal calls are working fine.

But we have few issues related to media.
  • IVR Menu, Uploaded Media are not being played
    • We have imported media using ./media_importer
    • We have replaced freeswitch media with kazoo media files
    • This is also done sup whapps_controller start_app media_mgr
    • mod_native_file.c:74 Error opening ...... .G722
  • We are not able to do TTS and getting below error
    • Error status code : 500
    • tts_provider_failure
Can anyone tell us what we have missed?

It seems that kazoo uses ispeech as default, it does so on our installs at least, and apparently on yours as well

But as u did not put in the ispeech keys and such in the DB it wont work. If u would create an account with ispeech and put the data in
Logs on what happens are in 2600hz-platform.log or in the /tmp directory (not sure anymore)

The docs state that mod_flite is used default but this seems not correct anymore and how to change back is unclear.
Docs state that default is mod_flite and if u enter ispaeech details in couchdb then ispeech will be used, how to enable mod_flite if ispeech is set as default is not stated anywhere.

perhaps someone from the dev team can explain how to do that, or update the docs

The FreeSwitch server needs to be able to contact the database server to stream the kazoo prompts. Usually this is done by FreeSwitch talking to a local haproxy which then roundrobins to the DBs.

Have a look in the debug.log and you should see a GET request. What is the result? What happens if you curl that URL?

flite should be the default TTS engine on new installs.

To use flite in place of ispeech, simply modify the tts_provider to be
"flite":

sup whapps_config set_default speech tts_provider flite

That should update the default object's tts_provider key in the speech
document.

Do note that you won't be able to create TTS media in the GUI if you
don't have ispeech available.
