Which vars are you interested in? We typically want to hide the fact that FreeSWITCH is under the hood, in case we should start supporting other soft switches.

Hi James,

It's a general question but in particular I'm interested in 'ignore_early_media'.

Looking at the source code I see you go out of your way to remove this attribute if there is only 1 Endpoint. I'm sure there's some history behind this. I have a device that reports early media but doesn't provide a ringback.

I can understand that you want to provide a consistent UI regardless of what soft switch is being driven. Which is why I was wondering if there is a generic way to pass custom information to the switch.
