Aside from this actually being a criminal offence under
Australian law under the illegal insertion deletion and
changing of data without consent laws in Australia,
Microsoft has been backdooring every windows mail app in a
recent update that automatically disables Microsoft windows
mail,  then downloads and installs without consent a fake
broken "outlook email" app that immediately locks all users
out of their email entirely since the fake outlook app is
not configured properly and seems incapable of importing the
previous mail settings - leaving users looking at a blank
setup screen asking them to configure their email,   a skill
almost 98% of the users faced with this issue entirely lack.

In effect, by being idiots Microsoft has deliberately rolled
out a world wide denial of service hack to all users that
use Microsoft Mail for checking their email.

The short term fix is simply to open the "apps" control
panel and uninstall the fake outlook app, which returns
functionality to Windows Mail, but on launching the mail
app, it will then immediately secretly re-download the fake
outlook app again, and silently attempt to install it again
once the user exits the mail app.  However microsoft have
commented they eventually plan to disable this, and force
all users email to eventually break.

This comes on top of a similar "hack"  Microsoft used on HP
computers via windows update that forced it to install a
defective firmware update to force the computer to enable
TPM, which bricked several hundred thousand HP laptops a
year or so back.   In this case HP would if the user
reported the issue, replace the bricked laptop mainboard,
but this would have cost HP millions of dollars in damage as
well.  Those unaware there was a HP replacement program
would have be forced to buy a new laptop.

It seems Microsoft has been conducting increasingly
invasive, and in the case of Australian law, completely
illegal remote modifications to users computers that run
windows 10 and 11 lately, and because Microsoft shut off
most practical methods for users to contact them and report
the issue, costing BILLIONS of dollars in damages to end
users, who in most cases are forced to buy a new computer or
take their computer to a repairer to resolve the things
Microsoft broke.

Issues it seems Microsoft is entirely unaware of, or simply
don't care, treating users computers like Microsoft property
instead of the actual owner of the PC.

This is probably a class action waiting to happen, but
apparently Microsoft still did it anyway.

Go Figure.

So the issue with Microsoft illegally installing their fake
outlook app and illegally locking people out of their email
has now reached Class Action Level, there are multiple
people looking to put together a class action over it.  If
anyone has a contact in your local jurisdiction for any
current class actions, feel free to reply to the list with
the details.

Microsoft on the other hand, has responded by now popping up
a box that shows the old email app, but disables the ability
to click on anything for people who try to use the original
mail app, either by uninstalling the fake "outlook(new)" app
or using various registry or permission hacks to lock out
outlook(new) and return to their old mail program.

This popup box gives two broken options "export" which does
not allow you back to your mail app, and "use outlook" which
loads a broken app that is not configured to actually SHOW
your email. They have still not bothered to spend the 10
minutes or so required to make their new scam-email app
actually import or use the accounts from the old mail
program they are trying to stop people using i their new
trash pile

One company of around 80 employees, told Microsoft to fuck
off, cancelled all licenses and subscriptions, and replaced
all their PCs with apples - they were that angry about it.

Multiple people are switching to thunderbird,  but this no
longer has an import path from the old mail program unless
you install a much older version.

Nirsoft has been fucked over two, with microsoft and almost
every scam-antivirus company out there flagging "mailpv"  a
utility used to recover server and email sign in details as
a virus and in many cases deleting it without even prompting.

Ironic that some guy in his shed can make a tool that can
retrieve the user password and mail server settings from the
old mail app, but apparently the incompetent makers of the
scam-"outlook(new)"  fake email app are entirely incapable
of such a simple feat.
