Dude walks into the store with a pair of rayban sunglasses.
Claimed to have been owned by Pres. George Bush.
Wants $5,000.
Offers $2,000 with confirmation.

Hey stoooooooopid!
Go to any military surplass store and you can buy a pair for five bucks!

On another show, the idiot hands over $65,000 to a customer who had a
common humidor, with a name plate on it stamped with the name, John F.
Kennedy.
Contents were a few wrapped cigars claimed to be cuban.
With no real proof, he just hands over the cash.

For under a hundred bucks I could do the same thing.

Oh he did.
There is a classic scene of him asking his brother to go buy a few cases of
the cigars, then in the oval office, asks if he had gotten them.
Yes he did.
And signs the law making importing of cuban cigars illegal.

In article <ckg3gah3ourd4hho6...@Osama-is-dead.net>,
seal...@osama-is-dead.net says...

Only Marilyn Monroe could've answered that.

Which item was that?
I did say once that Harrison was a total fool for paying $75,000 to have a
car totally restored, that had no engine and was a bucket of bolts.
When he could have bought the same damn thing for $25,000 already retored.
Amd a;ready painted the way he wanted.

Another time he buys tv show props that you could buy in any walmart for
five bucks.

Again, your brilliance is outstanding.
When Gilligans Island was a big prime time tv show, you could find coconut
glasses in practically any store.
do a search and you'll find them a dime a dozen online.
And this pawn shop pays $200 to some fool simply because she said they were
from the tv show? Oh look, there's a poublicity photo to prove it.

Why aren't you at work?

Rick asked for provenance by suggesting the guy got a letter from Bush
saying he knew the guys grandfather. The guy walked out of the shop
without selling the glasses. If he had the letter from Bush the glasses
would be worth $2K. Clearly the case and the writing in it had some age.

If you walked in with a $5 set you would not be able to get a letter
from Bush to say he knew your grandfather and you'd be $5 down.

Here's the video of that transaction:

Yeah he's so gullible and useless that he's running a large profitable
pawn shop with it's own world wide broadcast TV show (We get it in the UK).

What have *you* done that has even got you to 1% of that and makes you
an expert?

no reality tv is not real

those are my glasses, I was the guy on the show that took them in.

no, you can't buy these glasses for $5 at surplus. These glasses are very old.

And hey, if it is so easy to get on the show, then why don't you do it?
