Easy transfer is not so easy with this toshiaba

It works fine with xp to xp so the cable is working. But when I try to
connect ,my win 7 laptop it won't connect.
I have tried unplugging and reinstalling the sofware either way it
just will not connect. Any pointers would be appreciated.

I have had trouble with this toshiba recently. It still acts up now
and then. I will try with another win 7 machine and the old xp machine
down in the lab and see if that works.
I keeps trying to connect but says it can't.
