Nero log file as well, there is some stuff on the website about it.
Assuming Nero 7 log is very similar to v6, but you can check the AHead
site yourself.

Please run the Info Tool and attach the log files as described below:
Download infotool.zip from ftp://ftp9.nero.com/attach/infotool.zip

This is the only way to obtain all the important information. If you
work with Nero 6 the info tool is integrated. You find it in the folder
Nero Toolkit located at: C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\Nero Toolkit. Start
the program as described above.
Another helpful file to analyze the problem is the Nero Log File.
At the end of any write attempt with Nero/Nero Express or Nero, our
software will ask you if you wish to Save, Print, or Discard the log
file from the write attempt. Please be sure to save this file to your

If you forgot to save the logfile, there is a NeroHistoryLog in the
C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero (or NeroExpress) directory. It is
automatically created by our software and will also help to solve your
problem. For Nero Vision Express if there is an error message save the
logfile, please name it nerovision.txt and save it to your desktop.
Me
So what happens when you uninstall Nero and then reinstall it fresh?
Tried another CD/DVD burning program, like CDBurnerXP Pro?
Tried DVDSanta it freaks out too. When I first had troubles I
reinstalled an updated version of nero. Reinstalled mobo drivers,
DirectX 9.0c. Used nero again today and quarter way through it went to
a blue screen with writing on it. Tried looking at nero history log
and it only had completed sessions. Event Viewer did not list anything
that says nero or corresponds with the time of the error. I replaced
the ram but what are the chances of getting another dodgy stick? Also
could it be board, HD, or GPU troubles. I've replaced everything else.
Next try booting into Safe Mode and see if Nero then works. If so, you
have a software conflict with something you load on a normal Windows
startup.
Regarding memory, make sure NOT to use high-density sticks unless your
mobo specifically says it supports them. Often the super-cheap memory
sold at eBay and other online dealers is high-density. It is cheap
because no one wants them and standard mobos can't use them. You could
make a bootable disc and run Memtest86 for a few hours. Don't use the
one from www.memtest.org as it will report bogus errors in tests 5 & 6
on AMD processors. Use the one from www.memtest86.com. Only 1 pass
through each test is sufficient. It is unlikely that a later reexecute
of a test will discover a defect that the first test missed (unless you
didn't let the computer warm up to its stable normal operating
temperature).
