Well, the first hit there looks promising.

Look again at the URL you supplied. Look again at the OP's request. Look
at the page your URL goes to. Look at what it's talking about. Look at
the line that starts: "This feature is included...".

I was thinking of something like this, only drag & drop and freeware:
http://www.pollensoftware.com/task-o-matic/index.html
Why exactly do you need "drag and drop". If it's for transfer from another
machine like a laptop, copy the calender file to My Briefcase on both, and
then sync.

Drag & drop is also for dragging things up and down a list easily.
I see. As opposed to selecting a line/group of lines, cuting and then
pasting. You are trying to move a block of text. It *isn't* a single item.
This may mean you won't find such a thing. At best you are likely to find
a program that just has a icon for an appointment and not the full
contents of it displayed.

So what? here's the search for those who don't *have* or haven't ever
*seen* MS Windows and hence not know that a calender program has been part
of MS windows since Millenium. This obviously includes *you*. It was added
as a byproduct of the adding of system restore.
http://search.microsoft.com/results.aspx?mkt=en-US&setlang=en-US&q=windows+
xp+calendar
I don't see any links to any XP calendar there. Funny I never noticed a
calendar program before. Are you talking about the little applet that
pops up when you adjust the time? You can't drag&drop stuff in there, can
you? Can you save appointments in the System Restore calendar? Should XP
users be using System Restore to keep track of their schedules?
How do you run it? Let's see... Start -> Run -> calendar... nope. Start
-> Run -> cal... nope. Start -> Run -> calc... oops, ran the calculator!
Not under Accessories either. Where is this mysterious calendar that's
"been part of MS windows since Millenium"?

Oh, NO, of course not! I just want to learn something new. :-)
Anyway, what's a dee dee dee? (besides a cup size)

Still making friends I see.

If you're going to post/ask questions in this group, you'll have to
realize that there are two basic types of regulars here: the people who
actually *try* to help and the trolls. If you want to not get anywhere, by
all means reply to trolls, but you may find you won't get any help from
anyone else as a result.

Hey, man, you want to *try* to help, that's nice I suppose, but learn to
admit a mistake. That, or explain to us where this XP calendar is.

Heh, so the OP better watch out, for if she continues to respond to
"trolls" like me, Chuck won't help any more! Chuck, the master of the non-
sequitur.
Q. What's a good calendar for XP?
A. Vista has a calendar.
:-þ
Who said anything about a block of text!! The OP wants a to-do list.
Windows is what is known as a Graphical User Interface (GUI) which means
that a to-do item could and probably would be represented by an icon in
a list and not a block of text.
> It *isn't* a single item.
A single to-do item is a single item.
> This may mean you won't find such a thing.
There are loads of to-do lists.
> At best you are likely to find

Yeah, like that's going to a real top seller. "With Appointment Icon
v1.0 you will never forget an appointment again but you'll never know
what the appointment was for! Version 4.0 when released will allow you
to double click on the appointment icon and see the details of the
appointment."
Oh, and appointments <> to-do lists <> appointments
When did you last use Windows?
