8 hours at the office has nothing on a day at the races. Let your
friends know or have your pit crew help out and they get to see you
race in crystal clear, polarized light.

Some of the 8 hour folk stayed and volunteered for the 24 hour last
year. Make it a party, double your schwag and help out your fellow
athletes if you want to hang out some more.

Different Topic:
I have a friend that wants to help me out with crew and her husband,
Scott Swaney is in the race.
Any change we could have adjacent parking spots in the lot....that
would help us out.
We are both doing the 24 hours solo.

i did the 8 hrs last year, i have an ultramarathon coming up, so wont be racing, but i would love to volunteer, or support athletes, or pace people doing the 24 hr race....what is the date...my ultra is oct 18th in boulder...im available any other weekend though

Hi Rob,

The race is this weekend, Sep 26-27. Jonathan Zief is a 24 hour solo
with one volunteer as support and would probably be thrilled if you
paced him at night. I'll forward his contact information to you.

DIRECTIONS

1. From I-225, exit South Parker Road and travel south for approximately 1 mile.
2. Turn right (west) on East Lehigh Ave. and enter Cherry Creek State Park via the east entrance gate.
3. Continue straight through the 4-way stop sign (don't forget to stop!)
4. Smokey Hill parking lot is on your left after you turn the corner at the bottom of the hill

Staff/volunteer parking is immediately inside the entrance to the parking lot where it says "no parking" (the signs are for the athletes so we can get in and out quickly.) Walk on through the athlete pit area and transition area to the picnic shelter overlooking the water and look for the volunteer sign. This is our staff headquarters.

WHEN

Please arrive 30 minutes ahead of your shift so we can give you your schwag and drive with you to your volunteer station.

WHAT TO BRING

Please bring appropriate gear and clothing for the expected conditions. Also bring a back pack to carry food, water, sunscreen and spare clothing.

Ian, sounds good to me...i have my lifeguard cert, if you needed me in the water,...and ill email john so i can pace him at night....any of the voulnteer times would be great for me, so i have no preference, as long as i can get a chance to pace him after 7
