Hi all,
I wish I could have attended the meeting with you today! OK, regarding the press release, I'm not sure what's happening, if this is the final version that has already been sent out but if not I have a few comments below:
-The subheadline could end with "The campaign entitled “24/7” will culminate in a series of events held on 24 consecutive hours on Labor Day. " as per Nadim's revised version. It clarifies the idea more in one sentence, so people not involved in this campaign know immediately what's going on and why the choice of name.
-I like that we started with a personal story, that of Chandri but the way she was introduced... Chandri seems like a fictional character. Where is she from at least?
-"and documentary screening made by the students at INSAN." Correct me if I'm wrong but I think INSAN already sent a revised letter to Hayeon where they changed students to CHILDREN. I think we need to fix the PR accordingly.
-There was also a change made by Lala Arabian to Amenisty International (it is now Amnesty International - Lebanon)...
-I also agree that the activities we are doing (as per Nadim's feedback) are not focused on highlight the migrant domestic worker as "powerful, proud, self-reliant, etc." It's more about exposing their culture to the Lebanese public through music, art and food so it's misleading. Better to revise this part and use something close to Nadim's revised version.
-There was also the question of defining African regarding the party. My personal opinion is that it's fine as is for now because the music genres to be played at the party will more or less be from the entire continent as Africa has MANY styles and genres of music. Listing them anywhere but the actual party poster and the FB event will be too much.
That's all I have for now.
Let me know.
Thanks,

Dear all,Thanks for re sending it Sophia,Insan would contribute with 200 and Amnesty 200! Ali, I will send you the list asap!As to the 2 NGOs, we think that frontiers don't work on migrant domestic workers, but on refugees! As to Caritas, since more than one NGO objected on their involvement, we suggest to invite them both to attend the activities, and not widen the scope of organizers at this point where the organization is already developed!Thank you,All the best,Lala
