We are planning to visit singapore to join 5th ship recycling congress as well as cadet marketing end of july.

Assistance are being shout so pls advice with your suggestion if any .

Dear Tawfiq

Thanks for asking for the suggestion. I commend the extra miles you are going to market Bangladeshi Cadets. I think the priority should be the followings.

1. Take up visa issues for Bangladeshi sailors in Singapore.

2. Make a list of countries where the visa is a problem.

3. Request meeting with the foreign minister or their representative for those countries to take up the visa issues for the Bangladeshi sailors. Engage local Bangladeshi associations for helping you to arrange those mettings.

4. Assure ship management companies that you are working on the visa restriction.

5. Prepare a marketing brochure for the cadets highlighting the educational quality, training in safety, training in engineering, training in navigation, training in management, training in data recording, communication skill, discipline of the cadets and availability of the cadets.

Also to encourage us to give you guys suggestions you must let us know about the action plan and the progress. Last time I requested you and Zillur Bhai to take up the sign off problem in Malta for Kuddus. I never hard anything on the progress of that incident. I hope you are able to engage the community so that we can perticipate in helping in reducing the joblessness for the Bangladeshi sailors.
