Degausser

Hi folks! 

I have a stack of old magnetic media of various kinds I want to wipe before I dispose of them. Does the shop one anyone nearby have a degausser I can use to wipe a bunch of media?

I used to have a degaussing coil.  I haven't seen it in years though.  I'll check a couple of old boxes to see if I can find it.  In the mean time, any powerful electric motor might do the trick.
