I just got home from a training event at Edenton UMC. I enjoyed the
participation of the crowd and the comments they made.
We had one unanswered question come up concerning podcasting worship
services. We had general agreement that we should not record the
hymns and put them on the web for download at a later time. However,
if the service is streamed live, are we violating any copyright rules?
If anyone has an answer, please post it here.

I would ask a media lawyer, but it seems fair use to me. Most older hymn
would likely be in the public domain. I would be more concerned about a
cantata.

Call your local radio or TV station. When they broadcast something live, is
it a concern to them?
