Hello List! It's been a while, but I am working on a project that you may be interested in  - Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have:

We at the Urban Wilderness Action Center are interested in how you define Urban Wilderness.

The Urban Wilderness Action Center (UWAC) is a project initiated by Eyebeam alum Jon Cohrs (Berlin), in collaboration with the Eyebeam Student Residents (New York), and artist Kai-Oi Jay Yung (UK). The UWAC project includes a web platform uwac.anewfuckingwilderness.com and a day of action where people from NYC, Berlin, and the London will work with us to design and disseminate specific guerrilla gardening projects.

UWAC DAY is Saturday, March 20

After collecting ideas for instigating Urban Wilderness through the UWAC website, we will put some of the ideas into action in each of the three participating cities. Over the course of the day we will live-feed ongoing experiences and documentation from across all three sites.

Start time: 3PM (no matter which time zone)

HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE

INFORM: Share your thoughts on urban wilderness, and submit an idea for an urban wilderness intervention now.

ORGANIZE: In NYC we are looking for public artists, plant experts, and community organizers to help make UWAC day the best it can be. If you are interested in getting involved at this level, drop us a line - step...@eyebeam.org

PROPAGATE: The more people that come out on UWAC DAY, the better. If you live in one of the three cities we are hosting workshops and interventions in - Join us! Email step...@eyebeam.org to sign-up in any of the three cities.

PROMOTE: Love UWAC? Want us to succeed? Help us by promoting this project to your lists, blogs and websites.

Thank-you and looking forward!
The UWAC team

UWAC has been conceived of as part of ElectroSmog, a new, three-day, international festival that will introduce and explore of concept of "Sustainable Immobility": a critique of current systems of hyper mobility of people and products in travel and transport, and their ecological unsustainability.

As part of this festival, Eyebeam has also organized a skillshare on Tools and Models for Online Collaboration, led by Eyebeam fellows and residents.
