Clean & Green volunteer clean up of the Gowanus Canal

Volunteers are still needed for next Saturday, June 27th's Clean &
Green volunteer clean up of the Gowanus Canal street ends, from
11:00am to 2:00pm. To volunteer for June 27 or subsequent volunteer
days, please contact Lauren at volu...@gowanuscanalconservancy.org
or just show up at Degraw and Bond Streets at 11:00am. Our sign-in
tent will be down by the Canal.
The May 30 clean up was a success with the volunteer team collecting
more than 20 bags of debris and weeds and spreading wildflower seeds
in the areas along the canal on the Carroll Gardens side of Degraw
street. The Gowanus Wildflower Mix was specially created for the
Gowanus Canal Conservancy and donated by Applewood Seed Company. A
huge thanks to all who came out and worked very hard to make a huge
difference in that street end.
