Sure. Register for NewsU.org and look through the courses they offer. Many are free and can be used in the classroom as either a whole class activity or individual assignments. I've used others for developing my own lessons. For student expression rights there is no better resource than the Student Press Law Center (
splc.org).
myhsj.org is also a good resource for lesson plans and other material. I also
have a website I used for an introductory journalism course a couple of years ago that you are welcome to use. I've never advised the yearbook, but I did just complete an online course on it and have lots of resources I can send you. Just let me know what you need.
Thank you for the resources on the website, this is the first year I will be teaching hs journalism and in charge of the yearbook. I am excited but at the same time looking for all the resources I can so that I can be well prepared. Any advice?
