There are many lies in this world.

some of the lies seem So real, So true, and So good.

The world is promoting us to thrive life by means of acquiring and
achieving so that we get what we would enjoy. The enjoyments include
earning respect, approval, fame, and popularity. Sometimes we even buy
into idea that relationships with family, friends, and other people
would get better when we can provide more and more for them. So I
better be good and successful . . . work hard and even harder.

God called us special and valuable. He made us EXTRAORDINARY.
According to 1 John 4:16,

"We know how much God loves us, and we have our trust in His love"

Just like, rich young man that we talked about, lacking trust in His
love brings fear and insecurity about his future.

Trust in His love will empower us to live out EXTRAORDINARY life.

Blessings,

Eric Yang

Hey JDSN-

Thanks for your Sunday message. Admittedly, I was a little stressed out, and perhaps thinking too much about how I was going to lead the students; so I didn't concentrate on personal application.

The students, however, got a lot out of your message. Let me share some of their convictions:
Scarlet: Wanted to be more bold about her faith in places like school, where it is "uncool" to carry around her bible or openly be a Christian.
Gloria: Was encouraged by the example of the Harvard-bound student who decided to help the village in Africa instead. She said that if given the choice, she would probably make a similar decision... We prayed that she would have the boldness for her to see God's calling in her life, and to look beyond her personal needs.
Scott: (can't remember)
Eric: (can't remember)
Eddie: Eddie wasn't sure what to say, so I asked about his faith... If he had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. He said that he had not, so I told him to consider it throughout this week and that I would speak to him personally. We all prayed for him to have faith.

I know that Eric and Scott shared something in a serious way, but I can't really recall how they were convicted.

Please pray that I can be a better teacher! And also keep Eddie in your prayers... I have a hard time ministering to him, because I get very judgmental when I speak with him, and want to point out what he's doing wrong... Please pray that I can become a better Christian!

Is this emailing just for leaders or the whole group?
