Salaam Aleykum Everyone :)
(1) A reminder that this Thurs at SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies) will be the 'Narratives of Conversion' Cambridge University event (from 6pm).
This is the official launch / publication event of Cambridge Uni academic research findings into the path and experience of female converts to Islam in Britain.
(2) In addition, and hosted by GlobalNet21 there will also be a debate, in a week's time ie the eve of Monday May 20th at Goodenough College a lovely venue in WC1. The topic of the debate will be (paraphrased) Faith Schools and whether or not they are good for diversity. Speaking in favour will be one of our Free School team Br Mustafa and against another local friend Sharon Nayyer.
Aswell as being an interesting topic this will be a nice opportunity to get together, and also discuss further in a social setting (after the debate) the project we are engaged in.
As the latter is Global Net guests and members only please could anyone who wants a spot at the debate get in touch off -list for more info.
