Greetings from the SOAS - Centre of Islamic Studies,

I hope this finds you well.

I am writing from the Centre of Islamic Studies at SOAS, University of London, where we will be hosting our first annual SOAS–Nohoudh Muslim Integration Conference: Engaging with the Discourse on the 5–6th November 2015.

The conference aims to tackle the thorny issue of "integration", offering new analysis and frameworks for understanding, as well as engaging with current debates.

We would like to invite you to attend the 2 day conference, which will feature a range of panel discussions on themes including integration, free speech, counter terrorism, gender and more.

Speakers include David Aaronovitch (The Times), Dr Waqas Tufail, David Goodhart (DEMOS), Dr Sundus Ali (Oxford), Dr David Feldman (Birkbeck), Shenaz Bunglawala and many more.

The conference will be based around 4 panels per day, with each speaker allocated 15 minutes to present their views, followed by a 15-20 min Q & A. Speakers include a mix of academics, politicians, journalists and civil society actors.

Key note addresses will be delivered by Trevor Philips OBE, Baroness Sayeeda Warsi and Fatima Manji (C4 reporter).

The conference is open to all, but do please register here:

We look forward to welcoming you to SOAS.

Kind regards,
