Dear All,

There has been lack of seriousness in the team members and three
drop-outs in 24 hours is unacceptable. We won't go into details about
whether it was necessary or not. But to bring in more seriousness into
the group we have decided to levy a penalty for members who drops
out in last 48 hours of the meeting. It's not only about the last three
drop-outs, but a few other incidents too which makes it evident that there
is lack of seriousness in the group.

Understand that lots of thought has gone behind this decision, hope
you will agree on this. For drop-outs, irrespective of the reason, there
will be penalty of  Rs.10,000.

best,
Shraddha

One can not be punished twice for the same act.

If the disciplinary action clause of removal from trust group remains, then we can't levy another punishment for the same act. All of us know that being out of the group is a huge penalty any one of us shall be paying.

If we are discarding of the disciplinary action clause then we are offering "disengagement from group" service for a cost of INR 10,000.

I am open to discussing alternate thought process to this decision - I am sure the team must have thought this through. I placed my argument because the explanation was not there in the email.

Agreed, we discussed this and thought about it. The penalty is for wasting other members time and making them lose on their opportunity cost. It is only penalty, not really recovering of opportunity cost of the other members who have made time for TG. :) Just imagine compensating for opportunity cost for Avinash's half day business!!! ;) ;) ;)

Sorry Vishaal, this is not possible. This will eat up one more session and none will be ready to pay such a heavy price to discuss this. Lot's of alternatives were discussed and none seem to be justified a last minute cancellation. The penalty amount of Rs.10k is selected in such a way that it pinches everyone at the same time it doesn't hurt anyone.

I know for sure you will have very valid arguments, it's just that it's not worth 6 hours of 10 entrepreneurs' time. Hope you understand and appreciate the importance of our time and value-add we need to get from each other rather than discussing about something which is discussed and agreed by all of us.

warm regards,
Shraddha
