to 21 pounds in 21 days
Hi Everyone,

I am on day 9 of the detox. I was wondering if anyone had any soup
recipes that were good. I have been winging it and the soup is getting
boring. I put a lot of spices in and swirl Bragg's in it at the end,
but I just need a different flavor. I have misplaced my book, I was
going to try some of those recipes and was disappointed that there
were no recipes on the website. Does anyone know, since I can't find
the book, if avocado is allowed in the soup? I don't recall reading
anything about avocado. It may be that it's considered a fruit.
Hmmm... I've lost 11 lbs in 9 days but I'm still waiting for the
energy to hit. It comes and goes.

Thanks,
Teri

Hi - i just saw this post. Good job on the weight loss! It's fun, isn't it?! My soups all take on the flavor of the spices, and it never seemed to matter much what i put in, so i just threw in as many veggies as i could. Sorry, i can't help you more than that. I don't recall reading anything about avocados, but it sounds delicious!

Are you still on the detox? How is it going?

The asian spinach is my favorite. Like Kirsten I was just throwing
random veggies in a pot until the other night. I had a soup disaster!
It was so gross I couldn't even eat it. I went to bed hungry :-( That
night I used avocado, broccoli, and califlower. I dunno why but it was
raunchy!
Anyways, cut up about 3 cloves of garlic, 1/4 in of ginger and throw
into a few cups of water. Add a tablespoon of Bragg's then I bring it
to a boil. As the water is heating I throw in a handful of fresh
chopped green beans, a few cups of spinach and about a cup of kale. It
is Delicious! My only problem is that my blender is a piece of junk so
the green beans don't puree well. I plan on adding them to the boiling
water first next time and boiling the hell out of them so they are
mushy and fall apart in my blender.
Good luck!
