ok so I posted yesterday but don't see it so I will try again.
I am beginning my program tomorrow, Monday Nov 9 . Just came from the
supermarket and spent a small fortune in mostly Veggies etc and the
supplements. I am making my own Vegagtable stock right now( base for
soups and also known as the pot liquer) . so while it cooks for 1.5
hours I am posting. I have found 3 great soup recipes I can tweak to
suit the diet . One is a butternut squash, ginger and pear soup, the
other a wild mushroom soup. Both look awesome. I figure if I do 2
soups at a time that should last 2 -3 meals each I should not get too
bored. I hope to blog here daily because it helps me get through each
day and hopefully get some discussion going too. I am pumped to do
this for the full 21 days . This afternoon we go to see David
Copperfield and then out to dinnner to celebrate our anniversary. Then
tomorrow "IT" begins, lol Hope someone out there joins me? Love to
have company on this....hey what have we got to loose only toxins and
weight!I need to losse about 10-12 lbs The next big event we have is
DEC 5 so I will be finished the 21 days plus have 6 days to come off
the detox properly. Nice thing is I saw a lot of my friends at a party
last night and probably won't see them again til Dec 5th event so
should be the real test!
I usually drink a glass of wine in the evening at dinner but gave up
all alcohol over a week ago becasue a friend said it contributes to
night sweats which I have been having really bad for the last month or
2. She told me night sweats also know to occur with a toxic liver so
hense this cleanse. Funny thing is I have not had night sweats since
the day I stoped the red wine ....hum it makes me wonder..... I am a
nurse and believe in this so wish me luck and hope to hear from some
of you other detoxers out there!
cheers
E

I'm here with you. I did 5 days last week and had to come off over
the weekend (bachelorette party - mine!). But I'm here for another 10
days so that I can come off properly before my wedding on the 27th.
So, not a full 21 days but it's a start.

How was your first day?

Hi Divaleh,

I would love to begin with you if you haven't already started. I keep
saying im going to start but due to financial problems and a very
close relative of mine passing i haven't been able to. Please keep us
up to date. Btw what recipes are you guys doing for soups?

Alex -

Sorry for your loss :( Join in whenever you're able! Financially, I
found that I was able to find all the supplements for a little over
$100 (with the exception of the goldenrod and marshmallow tea - I
still need to grab those, urgh) - it just took some internet detective
work.

For soups, I'm basically just throwing a bunch of veggies in a big pot
(making sure to include a dark, leafy green), cooking them until soft
and tender - and then putting them in the blender with a bit of the
broth and pureeing them. I add other spices to taste once it's
pureed. For the most part, they all just taste like baby food :)
Last night I made a pumpkin soup with carrots, ginger, spinach, green
beans and some radishes. On tap for this evening is broccoli (well,
I'll make it tonight but I'll eat it later in the week). Through
trial and error, I've found that celery and cabbage make the tastiest
broths (acquired), but the color is not at all appealing.

Hey
how is your detox going? Today is Day 1 for me and already I am
feeling the loss of my ritual morning coffee...uggghh
For soup I really like kale, leeks, green beans and broccoli with some
cayenne. It's very green but the kale gives it a great flavour.
Good luck!
M :)
