       Summer Dunes

Riding on the camels one after another
through endless desert dunes
Like fire draining under your feet
Cactus and tumbleweeds waving at the sun
As sweat drops on the dry sand
The salty smell is perfumed in the air
The lips are dry and there are no tears to cry
Floating towards the land of waters
where you will find lots of Palm trees
and dates to feed your hungry bellies
The wind is blowing hard and
printing it's waves on the dunes
And the taste of sand is felt on the lips
Oh stars don't blink at the moon so fast
Let them complete this journey
Though it's too hot and dry
Stay away till they reach thier destination
Where dreams are going be fulfilled
And you will hear the echoes of the tambourine
All will dance until they get tired
And then sleep under the starry sky
