Dear Dr. Fab,
Here's my submission for the Summer poem anthology. It is an unpublished poem I just wrote this evening. I hope it meets the deadline. Please use my previous Bio.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Nudershada

A Memory Of Summer

A warm and sunny day greets me
The sun is brightly shining
Its golden rays warming everything
Under the shade of heaven's canopy
I look at the sky and marvel
At its clearness and brightness
Azure hue of the sky holds my gaze
Tufts of white clouds are drifting
Like huge balls of cotton floating in its vastness
Colorful kites are flying, soaring high in the sky
As children release their strings
The kites swayed and wiggled their tails
Pushed by the summer wind to greater height
What a wonderful sight to behold
As the kites gracefully danced to the rhythm of the wind
How freeing it must be to fly in the sky
Like these beautiful kites I am seeing
Then I remember it is now the month of April
And summer has already began
The sun smiles so bright and warm
Emitting rays that blazes with heat
Burning and wilting the tender leaves in the trees
A memory of summer spring to mind
A summer of long ago I had as a child
Back in our old home by the sea
They were the happiest season of my youth
Full of warmth and joy
The sea and the sky were the constant sight I beheld
And the sun was always sunny and warm smiling down on me
I was like a kite roaming free
Discovering life with the free spirit and innocence of a child
That memory of summer stayed with me
It lingered like a scent I cannot forget and erase
