It's great that the Telegraph has done a big spread about 20mph of course but I'm not too happy about the coverage that includes me. For a start the picture they've used is about 5 years old and comes from an article about signing NCN6 through the Porter Valley. I'm proud of the work that the team and I do as Sustrans Volunteers, but it immediately pigeonholes me as a cyclist when actually I drive, walk, take buses and trams like most other people as well. I would have happily have provided a picture of myself in my car had they asked me.
Then of the quotes they've used, the only one I can recall making is about screeching from one set of traffic lights to the next, which they've lifted from the ITV Calendar interview broadcast last night. The other quotes are either quite old or mis-attributed to me.
I don't think I'll bother complaining as the trust of the article is in the right direction but just so you know the facts.
