Hi Breaking-The-Pane Crew,
First and foremost, congratulations on our work last week! We hope you do not overlook the beautiful and valuable work that has been months-in-the-making. Well done and a heartfelt thank you.
Okay, so here we are in the second phase of the Breaking the Pane! Let's keep our mission in mind: to engage our community in a process of designing a community-created, community-driven response to our stories regarding youth violence and victimization. Many would argue that our most important work is yet to come. Here's where we need your support now more than ever. On May 31st, at 2:30pm, we are going to gather with the community in a 2-hour event at South Shore School that will include:
*Viewing the community "window" installation
*Performances from over 6 community artists
*Discussion regarding the themes inherent in our stories
*Creation of 21-day project
Already, we have several community leaders and groups excited to attend and participate. Needless to say, we have some planning to do to prepare for the day.
Committees to get ready for the event (you may be on more than one):
