Hello –
Thanks for your previous work to give back to the community by volunteering with United Way of King County! We’re about to kick off our Summer Meals program, and we want to invite you to help us serve more families throughout King County.
In King County, 99,000 kids and teens receive free or reduced price lunch during the school year. The Summer Meals program seeks to feed those kids when school isn't in session, but only 15% of those students use the program, and one of the biggest reasons is that families don't know it exists.
Join us for a door hanging event to raise awareness in SeaTac on June 14 or in Seattle or Federal Way on June 28, 10:30-2:00, so the 84,000 kids and teens who aren't accessing nutritious meals during the summer can find the site closest to them. Meet new people, learn more about the community, and help ensure that kids and teens get the nutrients they need to learn, play, and grow this summer.
Learn more and sign up, or let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Marie Eberlein
