Hey WAADE-ing friends,

So I want to get a feel for how many of us can make it to this film that we as a group are technically hosting, at least that's how I put it to the No New Jim Crow people, not that it matters...

This is mostly important so I know how much food I should bring in case not many of you can come. Everyone was really enthusiastic to see and host this film so I hope the timing works for you all. The house on Denny is my friend Dimitri's group house with more space for seating. It would be great to also have a few cushions for floor seating and/or folding chairs in case we need them.

I'm a little worried not many people will show up in the end, so as the point of this is to spread awareness and interest in restorative justice/transformative justice alternatives to modern slavery, PLEASE PLEASE INVITE PEOPLE! SPREAD THE WORD! THIS IS AN OPEN EVENT :)

(Feel free to use this little snippet of details below to advertise :)

Is there a Facebook event for this?

I'm planning to be there. But there is so much going on right now with Earthship related stuff that I'm not 100% sure to make it. It's possible I have to take care of other things instead. I'd say I'm 80% in.

Hi Erika-

I would love to go to this. I usually work until 5 on Sunday so I will try to be there on time. I'm happy to contribute a bottle of cranberry juice if it fits into the menu. Thanks, see you then!

Best,
Nick

Thanks for the suggestion Florian! Here is the new Facebook event.

Please join, friend me if we're not yet friends and invite all your friends! It would be great to have a packed house :-)

Also for anyone interested, there is "night of expression" tonight at southside commons 6 to 8. It's put on by YUIR (youth undoing institutional racism) and is an open mic of sorts about the building of the new youth detention center.
I'll be going if anyone wants a ride from cap hill. 206-595-0091

Yay!
Erika
