How to help?
My organization has put together this list (we've been in meetings w/ the NAACP, Urban League, United Way, and City Council members and they drummed up many of these ideas, we simply organized, created the platform, and add more.):

Social Media-wise. Participate in a United Story online project. We recognize that this is not really just about Michael Brown, it's about a much broader phenomena We are collecting voices/stories for the next 2 weeks and then assembling an action project. Here's the prompt:
As we've watched all of the news stories over the past month, we have noticed that many of the actions taken by our fellow humans are ones that call into question the perceived worth and value of a life. We invite you to help us create "new media" by sharing your own story of worth.
The Question: Tell us a story - When/how did you learn what your life is worth?
We welcome all interpretations of this question. Please leave your story via written stories, a photo story, audio or video clips. Please remember to tell us a story rather than an opinion. We welcome discussion and comments but ask you to use this as a platform for listening and connecting. This, of all places, should be a safe one.
To participate, post your story, photo, audio, or video on Facebook and/or Twitter using #IAmValuable #UnitedStory . You can also help by sharing our posted prompts.
Stay tuned in the coming weeks as we respond to these stories with an action challenge.
Thanks,
Cambrie
