Detention / Retention Pond: Can the surface area of a detention or retention pond—whether dry-bottom or wet-bottom—be counted toward the total required green space, provided it is landscaped and visually integrated into the open space network, or would that be counted towards the buildable area?

The county does not allow the inclusion
of ponds in the green space requirement calculation. The green space
requirement is for primary and secondary
active and passive greenspace areas that do not include stream buffers
and ponds.
