We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with strong experience in Capital Markets to design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of financial instruments, trading data, and market analytics, combined with expertise in data visualization and reporting using Power BI.

Job Title: Power BI Developer – Capital Markets

Location: New York office

Rate: $60/hr

Experience: 10+ Years 

Work Authorization: USC, GC & H1B 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Translate business requirements from Capital Markets stakeholders into technical solutions.
• Work with large financial datasets including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and trade data.
• Build and optimize data models using Power BI, DAX, and Power Query.
• Integrate data from multiple sources such as SQL databases, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance of BI solutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, traders, and risk teams to deliver actionable insights.
• Implement row-level security and data governance best practices.
• Troubleshoot and enhance existing dashboards and reporting systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (Desktop & Service).
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M language), and data modeling.
• Solid understanding of Capital Markets (Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX).
• Experience working with financial data such as trade lifecycle, P&L, risk metrics, and pricing.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
