I hope that you continue to fare well in the current environment. I am writing to inform you of three key events taking place in June. These virtual events provide excellent opportunities to stay relevant.

The new Audit Quality Management standard issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board is of key importance to firms and auditors. Later this year, PAFA will develop a comprehensive plan for supporting our member organisations in this area to enhance audit quality in Africa. In the interim, I urge you to register for the virtual webinars offered by the IAASB in collaboration with IFAC.

PAFA is presenting the following events in collaboration with our affiliate ACCA:

2.     25 June: The Future of Our Economic Policies Must Be Gender Sensitive is part of our Diversity in Accountancy in Africa virtual webinar series. See the attached information and register here.

3.     30 June: The Scaling up efforts towards Paris alignment and supporting the SDGs in the Africa-EU Strategic Partnership virtual event is a collaboration between The Green Finance Platform, ACCA and PAFA and intended to create awareness about the role of professional accountants in these important initiatives that will move them from doing the same things to doing different things.
