To my beloved Vietnamese American Lasallian Youth,

Attached are some files for you to study before the meeting on Sunday Sept 24 from 4:30 PM to about 6 PM at La San

relating to our Tour Xuyên Việt - Transvietnam Tour

and Service With The Poor on Southern Việt Nam and Cambodia.

The registration will be open on October 1, 2023 and end on December 31, 2023. Do not register yet! Things can be changed after the Sept 24 Meeting.

- The Transvietnam Tour is just sightseeing, somehow "luxury" according to our VLYT standard. This tour is designed for you - young Vietnamese American to discover some of our Vietnamese cultural heritage. Since the tour bus has 45 seats, we can not accept more than 45 people. The only challenging part is the 7km (4miles) hiking / trekking in the dark cave in Đồng Hới.

- The Service WITH the Poor is very rewarding, demanding, challenging. It requires MATURITY and STAMINA. You must FREELY choose to go. If you are forced to go, made to go, then please stay home! You will decide as a group how much to chip in for food, who will go to the market to buy food, who will cook, clean the toilets, sweep the rooms, etc. AND WE WILL PRAY TOGETHER TWICE A DAY. "Go over the ocean and build community!"

- The Registration Package has 4 items, and 4 pages. Please answer on all the 4 pages, then sign twice. Then send me ALL the 4 items. If you just send me 3 items, I will keep you on the waiting list until you send me all the 4 items.

- The non-refundable deposit of $100 is non refundable! It is not counted for the total cost. It will be used for the Bonus Fund, which is to give you back the money as Bonus depending on how you participate in the meetings before the trip, etc.

- The checklist is self explanatory. Travel light! 

- The air tickets: Since some of you might visit your relatives in Việt Nam before or after the trip, you can buy your own air tickets. If you want, you can fly in and out with me on June 15 and July 31. As of now, Singapore and Korean Airlines have the least expensive fares. Let's keep watch for the prices to drop or better fares from other airlines!
