For those of you who do not have a facebook account, I am sharing here the post made in our groups page there.

Friends, I've been feeling reluctant to use our group page to share some news about the situation in Greece. I decided though to let you know about a couple of things that you may not be aware of, and may not be interested in.

1. Greek public television and radio has been shut since June in order to make the necessary cuts.
2. The extremist (facist ) party Golden Dawn just murdered a week ago one of the people standing against them, threating that they will "take care" of everyone who is opposed to them (immigrants, gays, left parties, etc) and call their members to be ready to be sacrificed in this civil war they are starting.
3. The University of Athens is shutting down as a protest to the extreme measures taken that make its function impossible.
4. The only hospital specialized in treating patients with cancer will not be used as such but as a general hospital.
5. Public railways are becoming private apart from the maintenance part that burdens the State.
6. The sun is still shining.

Thank you for your time reading this. It takes a lot of ProcessMinds to hold this polarization.
Bless you all.

Alex

Dear all,
I post Susanne's reply to my e-mail as I think it is meant for everyone by the way she addresses all of us in the beginning. I also value the awareness she is bringing to the matter. I want to thank all of you for your support and love and for taking the time to reply and even read these things.

love and light and sunshine
Alex

p.s. Update, today the members of the Golden Dawn that were arrested for being a part of a criminal group, were left free until their trial will be held. Arny's quote comes to mind: "You can kill the dictator but not the dictatorial role". So apparently it is not enough to put them in prison. Another kind of work is called for.

Subject: Greece and Germany and the rest of the world Hello!
To: Alexandros Farmakis <a.far...@gmail.com>

Dear Alex and hello everybody,

Thank you very much for your mail. I wanted to write to you this week anyway, because for the first time in my life I’ve been to Greece and it was so wonderful that I nearly can’t tell!

Won’t be the last time. I’ve been to Korfu because a friend of mine  was supposed to organize a seminar of mine. It did’t take place but it was an occasion for me and my husband to travel to Korfu.

What a wonderful countryside, nice and proud people, great holiday!

I met a German who’S grandpa is Greec and who is living there since  more than 25 years, speaking Greek perfectly. He told us a lot about the backgrounds of the problems and I’m really concerned about what I learned and I dint ’t know yet.

Since I’m back I’m reading more about Greece, watch tv and read the newspapers carefully.

Unfortunatly even in the better newspaper the information about Greece takes only a few lines.

We don’t even understand what it means and what the EU is demanding.

And there are a lot of things we know somehow, but it vanishes from the memory.

For example the role of the banks like Goldman Sachs. Did you know that they made a deal with Greece faking a loan where half of the sum and the interest on this have been hidden. Goldman Sachs got 500 million only for the fees to make this deal and this deal seems to be part of the problem. Without this deal Greece would not have fulfilled the demands of joining the Euro. Everybody knew it, but the banks wanted to earn money and the politicians wanted to believe that money will come somehow. The banks are still earning!!!

The EU and Germany want Greece to economize, but they have to continue to buy arms from Germany. It’s in the contract, as far a I understood!

What we have in our head and I have to admit it has been in my head also was the idea that that people in Greece took life too easy, didn’t pay taxes and voila now we have to help them.

Maybe there is a part of truth in it, but there are so many other things to consider!

One more thing. Korfu lives from the tourists, there are more than 1 Mio tourist a year for 100 000 inhabitants. Recently, by emergency measure without participation of the Greek Parliamant, its West Coast has been declared an industrial zone!!!!!!!

Now, 50 km away from the shores of the island, a Norwegian enterprise is searching for oil in the sea! If something happens the people of island can’t demand compensation: it’s an industrial zone!

Greece  will get only 30% of the gain! They won’t keep it, they have to pay for the interest of the interest.

It’s crazy that I get so upset about it and not you, Alex!

Of course I want to learn more about the situation in Greece and we have to know. Most of my friends don’t agree with the strict and heartless demands of spending cuts.

But none of them has much knowledge and we are more involved in our daily life, more interest in Yoga, good living, good discussions, good food, fun and love and football.

We are not aware how beautiful Europe is, that it’s one country and that we could enjoy our differences more!

You remember the exercise we did together about our disavowed cultural experience!

I thought about that several times, also in Greece. Was one of the most ‘lasting’ experiences for me.

I’m not at facebook. I wanted to join in , also for professisonal reasons but I’m old fashioned and don’t feel at ease with the posting culture, giving short informations about what is happening. And after the scandal made public by Edward Snowden and the information that facebook helps the secret service NSA to store our informations I don’t want to join in, even if it’S not good for the business.

Maybe it’s ridiculous. But for now I decided to stay away from facebook.

So I would like you to send me more information about your life in Greece. You live in Athens, as far as I remember. What’s going on, are you studying, do you plan to make the process work formation, are you coming along?

If you are posting on facebook, please sent the informations also to our google group or to my account.

Thank you for that!

Still a lot of things I would like to write, also about the question how to process all this.

But for the moment it’s enough and it’s too difficult for me to find the words.

But I feel with you and the Greeks an the Germans and Europe and I hope we will all come along with it!

Hope to hear from you

Susanne

Susanne, thanks for all your thoughts and insights!

I just wanted to clarify that the NSA is collecting ALL written digital communications going in and out of the US, not limited to Facebook. They also keep records of call data, can tap phone/skype convos... you name it. It's an omniscient god role, apparently ;)

But I understand the complaint about limited info with short posts on FB!

Warmly,
Nick
