Hi everyone!
I'm writing to let you know about an upcoming event at PWI. I had the idea to host an open forum on the issue of fluoridating Portland's public water supply, which is up for vote on May 21st. The forum will take place on Monday, May 6th from 7-9pm Pacific time, and will be videotaped for viewing afterwards for those who will be out of the area or unavailable. The main facilitators will be myself, Reet Neemoja (MAPW3), Jiro Isetani (Diplomate and MACF graduate), and Elva Redwood (MAPW cohort X grad). It sounds like Michael (MAPW4), Dennis (MAPW3), Nami (MACF grad), Monica (MAPW/MACF grad), and Christopher (2013 Winter Intensive) will assist with running the event on Monday.
Here is the FB event:

With love,
Nick

The students and
diplomates of the Process Work Institute will hold an open forum on the
topic of water fluoridation in Portland. The aim of this open forum is
to represent and protect all the various sides of the issue. In doing
that we hope to connect with the feelings in the background and help the
community become stronger through awareness.
An open forum is
not a debate. The point is not to reach a consensus or make a final
decision, but to bring out and acknowledge the diversity in the
community, to learn from each other and
to grow together. Ideally we will start with speakers from both the
"pro-fluoride" and "anti-fluoride" viewpoints, followed by comments,
questions, and personal shares from around the audience. A team of
facilitators will be on hand to work through any heated moments.
This event is limited to 70 seats. Please RSVP "yes" in advance only if
you are certain that you will be attending. We would like to videotape
this event, both to share with the broader community and to use for
educational purposes. Your attendance at this event means that you have
consented to be videotaped. If you have any questions, please post a
comment or message an event host directly.
More details will be released as they are determined.
